Be The Good

Be The

Smg3's "be the good" initiative

Believing there is good in the world is what drives SMG3.  We believe in being present and doing what we can to help deliver hope and comfort.  Our focus is always on our immediate communities with the expectation that being the good is reciprocated beyond our reach and eventually the world.”
– Nancy Gorski, President and CEO of SMG3

Strategic Mobility Group (SMG3) strives to make a positive impact on its community. No matter the time of year, employees are always willing to give time to give back to people in need. Embracing our company mantra “Be The Good” is something that each and every employee takes part in. Take a moment to look at a few of our Be The Good initiatives listed below that SMG3 has taken part in over the last 2 years.

SMG3 Knocking Down Walls

“I am incredibly proud of SMG3 for the tremendous amounts of growth it has made over the past five years. This year and every year to come, we will continue to break down the walls and reach industry firsts.”
- Nancy Gorski, President and CEO

Bike Drive

Strategic Mobility Group wanted to arrange a teambuilding exercise that was also able to hold up our “Be The Good” mantra through a charitable initiative. To achieve this, we partnered with BEST Corporate Events to build bikes for children in need.

Internship Program

SMG3 is pleased to announce that our internship program continues to develop great talent. For the 3rd year now, we’ve been lucky to meet and work with bright, young professionals that we help learn skills that can benefit them both in school, and their career.

Valentine’s Day

We celebrated Valentine’s Day this year with something almost all people love- a chocolate fondue station. Showing the appreciation and fondness for each other at the office, enjoying delectable chocolate brought us together.

Holiday Party

This past Christmas, SMG3 celebrated Christmas on Lake Michigan. Enjoying the view of Chicago from a boat, we celebrated the holiday season a great night with lively music and the people we worked hard with year-round.

Holiday Dress Up Days

How can you celebrate holidays without dressing the part!? Strategic Mobility Group encourages wearing costumes certain days for holidays like Christmas or Halloween. We find embracing holiday spirit makes the office a more enjoyable place.

Dress Up Days

Along with dressing up for holidays, we also cultivate our company culture by having random dress up days throughout the year. From pajama days to Hawaiian themes, wearing something different to work now and then is always nice.

Barbeques

At SMG3, we like to spend some time outside when the weather is nice to take a break from looking at our computers and strengthen our bonds. Enjoying some nice food in the sun tends to do the trick!

Culture & After Hours Work Events

To promote company culture and employee engagement, SMG3 makes sure that employees get to spend some time together at different events. From going out to a restaurant to hitting balls at Top Golf, bonding time is important.

Quarterly Celebration

SMG3 takes note of the hard work put in by employees through the year, and always tries show how much they are appreciated and valued. To do so last summer, we participated in a wide range of fun activities to celebrate a good quarter.

Baggo Competition

Bringing out the competitive side of everyone, Strategic Mobility Group has an annual baggo tournament every summer to enjoy the nice weather. We all enjoy the games, but more so the time spent with people we’re playing with.

SMG3 Annual Awards

Each year, we give awards to individuals that go above and beyond their job description. Those who provide strong inspiration and embody what it means to “be the good” get recognized for their efforts that make SMG3 a better place.

THANKSGIVING MEAL

Being a family at SMG3, we make sure to enjoy a potluck meal during our own celebration in the office to show that we’re thankful for each other and all the work we put in year-round.

Holiday Decorations & Contests

Depending on what month we’re in, decorations can be found all through the office. Keeping people engaged and positive, we encourage holiday decorations from department to department. There’s even a prize for who decorates the best!

2019 Annual Conference

SMG3 hosted a week-long conference where we were able to strengthen relationships with valuable partners and provide an educational experience through keynote speakers and engaging presentations.

Gamedays & Teambuilding Activities

Every now and then we feel it’s necessary to provide activities that get us up and out of our desks. From engaging events like painting to exciting ones like bingo, SMG3 strives to make sure our employees take rewarding breaks from all the hard work they do.

Pack the bus
school supply drive

SMG3 Employees gather supplies all summer to deliver to the Township at the end of August. SMG3 values opportunities like this to contribute to charitable causes and give back to the community.

Women's
History Month

SMG3 launched a Women's History Month campaign featuring quotes from every female employee at the company. We did so to acknowledge all of the challenges and ensuing changes that define women in 2019.

food pantry volunteering

SMG3 employees assist the local community by volunteering at the Schaumburg Township Food Pantry. While volunteering, employees sort canned goods and other donated items into their associated shelves for families in need.

smg3 Shoe Drive

SMG3 dropped off boxes of gently used and new shoes at a local DSW store that donated the shoes to a charity called Soles4Souls. This was in celebration of National Shoe The World Day.

“At SMG3, our team believes we are more than a solutions integrator.  We take pride in creating a better work environment for our clients.  Helping make our community a better world is our way of saying thank you.”
