Strategic Mobility Group to Host First Annual “Bring Your Child to Work Day”
An exclusive learning experience for children to take place at Strategic Mobility Group, LLC.
SCHAUMBURG, IL – (April 22, 2016) – Strategic Mobility Group (SMG3) will host its first “Bring Your Child to Work Day” on April 28, 2016, for its employees and their children.
As soon as SMG3 employees Michael Grudecki and Leslie Campbell mentioned the idea of “Bring Your Child to Work Day” to Stacie Lamprecht, human resources manager at SMG3, she jumped at the opportunity to make it happen. “A seamless partnership with my colleagues, Maria Picardi and Katie Babicz, was the force behind the planning of this special day, and I know that they are looking forward to it just as much as I am,” said Lamprecht.
SMG3 wants to give the children exposure to a full business day from beginning to end. The day will begin with a board meeting in the conference room lead by Nancy Gorski, president of SMG3, where the children will learn how to grow a business. From there, the SMG3 professional services department employees will describe mobile computing, barcode scanning, and wireless infrastructure all while integrating games and hands-on activities throughout the presentation including barcode scanner laser tag and a create-your-own-barcode workshop.
“With the activities and presentations we have planned, the children will learn how teamwork and hard work make a business function and grow – and how a company can make the world a better place,” stated Gorski.
In the afternoon, the children will be in action, pitching and selling SMG3 products with the sales team. After, the marketing department will show the kids how to market products and services including site surveys, wireless networks, and mobile computers. Each child will then have the opportunity to put his or her newly acquired skills to the test by shooting their own commercial selling all of SMG3’s products: mobile hardware, barcode printers, barcode scanners, and mobile computers.
Every department at SMG3 will play an important role in making this a truly unique learning experience for the children outside of the traditional classroom. “I am extremely excited about the level of participation from the employees, especially since it is a first-time event,” said Lamprecht. She went on to tell us, “I am really looking forward to seeing how SMG3 employees and the children, as our future leaders, interact during the day.”
Gorski added, “SMG3 would like the children to recognize that while formulating decisions, it is important that they are not afraid to think outside the box and know that no idea is a bad idea.” Gorski went on to say, “It is essential that children understand that they should be passionate about what they do for a living because it will bring them pride at the end of each day. This is a great program because it allows parents to show their kids that they take pride in their work and enjoy being a part of our company.”
